Sea Cadet Success

Dedicated Year 10 student Owen gave up a the opportunity for a family trip to Disneyland Paris over the holidays in order to compete in the Sea Cadets National Finals with his rowing team. Owen was the coxswain for the team and they came first place. This means they are now Sea Cadet National Champions, winning the cup for Scarborough Sea Cadet Unit and a gold medal for each member of the team.

Owen’s proud parents were slightly gutted that he made the decision not to join them and his brother on holiday, but were immensely proud of him and his commitment to the Sea Cadet Unit and team. Head of Year 10, Miss White, added “Owen has always been hard working both in school and at Sea Cadets and we look forward to following his successes in the coming year”.
