East Riding Football Sevens Finals

The Year ten boys travelled to a foggy and bitterly cold Wolfreton School to take part in the East Riding Finals of the sevens competition. The completion is played on small pitches across the 3G pitches; with smaller goals so scoring is notoriously difficult. Driffield played fantastic football, which was commented on by the referees and opposing staff, but just couldn’t find the finishing touch in front of goal. Of the five matches played they drew three games 0-0 and lost a narrow game to Wolfreton 1-0 and when pushing for the win against Longcroft they conceded two break away goals to lose 2-0. Head of PE, Mr Duke, said “It was a fantastic effort - well done boys”.
