Amazing Artwork Produced by Students

On Monday 7 January, Year 8 Volunteen students accompanied by Year 13 Fine Art students had the amazing opportunity to work alongside ERVAS and professional artist Emma Garness.  Students completed the large scale art work which is exhibited in West corridor. This was carefully planned by the Volunteen students as their social action project. The messages conveyed in the art work help to promote peace, understanding and equal opportunities.  A special mention goes to Year 8 student Seth who also made a short film about the day which is being showed on the school’s internal rolling noticeboards.  The social action projects have made our students more aware of the benefits of improving our community.  It has made them aware of vital employability skills and it gave them an opportunity to experience working in the creative arts. Mrs Mortimer, Co-ordinator of CEIAG said “I would like to thank ERVAS and Emma Garness for all their hard work and enthusiasm”.
