Apprenticeship Event

On the afternoon of Wednesday 28th November the Year 13 Health and Social Care students visited the Apprenticeship Event at Bishop Burton College.  The students learnt about all the different apprenticeship opportunities and the apprenticeship degrees available in the local community.  Mrs Mortimer, Co-ordinator of CEIAG and Health and Social Care Teacher, would like to thank East Riding Education and Skills Partnership for funding the event and the transport costs.  She said “Apprenticeship opportunities are growing and students need to be aware of their future choices”.  For more information about apprenticeships then please visit www.getingofar.gov.uk or www.findapprenticeship.service.gov.uk

Students in Sixth Form also have the opportunity to meet with Mrs Barley every Tuesday to discuss employment mentoring and apprenticeship opportunities. There is also additional support available to help write personal statements and application forms.
