School Pistol Shooting Championship

After her success at the school games over the summer, we are delighted to report that Year 9 student Erin Redfern has recently taken part in the school pistol shooting championship in Newcastle. Erin came second – just one point behind 1st place!

Erin has now qualified for the Nationals, which are being held in January at the Stoke Manderville Stadium. Proud dad, Mr Redfern, said “Can I thank the school for allowing Erin to take part in the competition”.

Since then, Erin has also competed in the Biathlon Championships in Leeds. She was ranked 21 going into the event and managed to climb to 16th place – a fantastic achievement. Erin had a good swim and ran a personal best. She now goes on to compete in the Schools final in London in March.
