Driffield School and Sixth Form Remembers

It was an honour to represent Driffield School & Sixth Form and witness so many students from across the School and Sixth Form taking part in the remembrance service in Driffield on 11th of November 2018. Two Sixth Form students, Beth Suggitt and Olivia McGregor-Hart, were involved in delivering the readings within the service and I know that they were honoured to be able to contribute. They did extremely well and were a great credit to the community. It was wonderful to see such a cross section of the student body representing various civic organisations in the service. They wore their uniforms and carried their standards with pride and were superb representatives of their organisations, the school and the wider community as they impeccably participated in the service, before observing a poignant two minutes silence outside the church. It is always special to see any community pull together to recognise the key moments in the lives of those we live and work alongside and it is a privilege that the students of Driffield School and Sixth Form get to be a part of this.
