Emotional Health and Wellbeing Workers in Schools – News

EYPCF has been involved in developing this work. The results from the consultation survey with parents/cares are on the EYPCF website www.eypcf.co.uk/links . Work is progressing well with over 75% of all schools having agreed a named member of the senior management team to be a contact point for receiving and dissemination information in this area. A number of schools have agreed to take part in the pilot service which has a possible launch date of January 2019. Job descriptions and training, along with supervision and support for the new workers is progressing well.

The local area partners have put in a bid for extra funding to be a trail blazer service, the outcomes for this will not be known for some time but there are plans to develop these services even if the bid is unsuccessful.

Thanks again to all who expressed views in the consultation enabling EYPCF to influence the development of this new service from the start.

Information Session - A practitioner from the Prevention and Education Team, Youth and Family Support Service will give an overview of the service and how to access it.
