National Citizen Service Information Evening

date: 2018-05-04

On Tuesday 24th April Mrs Mortimer Co-ordinator of CEIAG welcomed the Tigers Trust team to the school.  The Tigers Trust, our lead organiser, delivers the National Citizen Service. They gave a highly entertaining and informative talk about the National Citizen Service, with one parent even winning a signed Hull City football!

The National Citizen Service is open for 15-17 year olds only and is a 20 day personal development programme which includes two 5 day residential excursions.   The first is based at an outdoor activity centre and the second is based at The University of Hull.  The final two weeks is about making a positive change in their local environment and is based around a social action project.   The programme is delivered in four waves.   If your son/daughter is interested but hasn’t yet signed up there are now only 5 places available on the first wave.  This starts on the 18th July.  The second and third waves are full.  There are a few places available on the last wave which starts on the 30th July.  Students that are already signed up, please note if you are on a residential the week of your Prom you will be brought home in plenty of time!

Any further questions then please get in touch with Mrs Mortimer via the school office.
